Kruger National Park

Wow, is all I can say. We spent a mere 48 hours in Kruger Park, and walked away with a camera full of incredible shots- some of them may even be prize winning. Kruger is a very large park, the same size as Holland or Vancouver Island. We only saw a small portion in the south, but we saw most animals- ranging from elephants to locusts. Here's a partial listing, from memory:

(taking a very deep breath) Elephant, giraffe, water buffalo , zebra, hyena, jackal, white rhino, crocodile, hippo, terapins, African fish eagles, European rollers, Carmine bee-eaters, tortoise, praying mantis, Kori Bustards, Kudu, rock-jumping antelope, blesbok, spingbok, three kinds of storks, two different herons, three kinds of Franklins, hornbills,(gasp)  babboons, vervet monkeys, warthogs, ostrich, (even a few emu?), locust, fruit bats, blue-headed tree agama, golden orb-web spider, yellow weavers, buffalo weavers, striped skink, wolf mongoose,  toads, catfish, and a pack of wild dogs. tracks from lion, but no lion. Tracks of leopard, but no leopards, no cheetah. AND... a musthy elephant did the Michael Jackson moonwalk in front of the truck, after I asked for more action( with video recording on) Cool....

I'm sure I've missed many, this was just off the top of my head....
