Hot and Dry

Well, I definately think the green is shrinking around here. Today all the lawns are wilting. It's at least 33 Celsius, and the grass has quit growing.
Tomorrow we head for Harare. We haven't heard any more news from there lately, which is good news. On Monday, more than 4000 people were rioting in the downtown section, wanting the Nigerians to leave. Today, all is quiet on that side, so we are happy. We'll be staying at Doug and Nancy Everswick's home until the weekend, and then we're flying to Victoria Falls- one of the seven wonders of the world!! We'll need to cross into Zambia, turn around, and re-enter Zimbabwe and get another business visa each. Please pray that it all goes smoothly. While there, we will be spending our valentines dinner at the The Boma Place of Eating in the town of Victoria Falls. Check it out at http://www.thebomarestaurant.com/ . They serve ostrich kebabs, eland steak, boerwors( a South African farmer's sausage that we've already loved), warthog steaks, kudu stews, etc. They also do face-painting, and we can join in on the drumming!! It promises to be awesome!!
