Good morning
Home, sweet home! This is the Harare Guest House, where we're currently staying. We wanted to post more pics, but the internet is so slow, we're running out of time. We're just starting our day here, getting ready to head out for the day, but for you, you're all tucking into bed right now. We are 9 hrs ahead of you, so that's kind of a strange thought that today is not going to reach you for quite a while yet. :) It's cooled off a bit with some rain yesterday and today, so our room is down to 22 degrees - we're feeling pretty comfortable. Once we head out to Karanda, though, we'll be reaching temps in the mid-30's. I hope we adjust quickly! We're looking forward to today - a trip to the orphanage, then the farm, then we go grocery shopping for the next month. Kind of intimidating to try and remember everything! Then most things get frozen in preparation of the 3 hr drive in the heat to Karanda. Can't wait to get out there! I got some more information about our "Plan B" for me. I was really worried about teaching the nursing students when we don't see most of what they're treating in Canada. TB, HIV/AIDS, malaria, etc, just doesn't happen very frequently at home. So needless to say, I wasn't sure I would be all that helpful to the students! However, sounds like they're going to make me more of a clinical instructor, following them around at the hospital and making sure they do their dressings/injections/meds, etc right. That I can do! This is a big relief for me! So, either way, however long it takes to get my license I'll be useful here. In other good news, it looks like a very strong likelihood that we'll be going to Vic Falls! So excited!

Hi Garner & Michelle. Glad to hear things are going well. Sounds like you will be loosing some weight on this trip.... but if you should develope a TASTE for chicken heads and mice , I'll start saving the mice I catch for you. LOL. Probably sort of like a ZEBRA meat dish hey ? Light & dark meat. That was funny!!!! Never mind having a mouse for Roger. I found a dead one in the garage he can have.....he can try it himself. LOL. Dad.
Dexter and Charlie want to move to Africa
I'm sure you will be a blessing no matter what you end up doing.
