Tonight the four of us, including the Bosos ( my nickname for Mike is Uncle Buck ) went to a local missionary family's house for supper. You'll never believe the menu! They served a wonderful Impala roast! And plenty of other stuff, it was DE---licious! We expressed our excitement, but then David Rousseau told us that last week they had Zebra!! We asked him if Zebra was tasty or not, and he answered "Depends if you like dark meat or light meat......" :) Awesome answer. Also we had passionfruit straight from their garden...
We have learned that we will likely be invited into some Shona's homes sometimes. We will be expected to eat whatever they serve, and apparently chicken heads are a delicacy, the best of the best. Another good possibility will be roasted mice..... please pray for us. Seriously.
Plans have definately changed for tomorrow. We'll start by visiting a nearby orphanage that Uncle Buck and his wife will be involved with, then we are definately going to visit the zero-till farm, just for my peeps... :) That should be very interesting... After that, Uncle Buck and I will be doing some fixit stuff around here. We haven't figured out a ride to Karanda yet, with three hours of mud roads and all.

We will pray vigorously for you to develop a craving for chicken heads and mice! All I could think was "Oh my!" Seriously, we are praying for you-for God to use you mightily, for safety and for a fantastic experience!

Hi Garner and Michelle,
So happy to hear that you made it safely to Africa! I so enjoy reading your daily news. May God bless you with his gifts of love and compassion as you share his love with the people of Zimbabwe.Praying that the go-ahead will come through soon for Michelle's nursing status and for good health, safety and pleasant eating experiences! Love, Carol
How nice that all your adjustments are in stages; teaching before nursing, plus 20 before mid 30, impala before mice. Enjoy your day today. We can only imagine all the wonderful things you will see.
