More pictures

So here are a few more pictures of us and these incredibly cute kids!! We love them so much it's ridiculous. Garn was down today with what they call "Haitian Happiness", in other words, he wasn't too well and is feeling lighter now. Hopefully tomorrow is a better day for him. He was able to catch up on some sleep, though, and that was very important. Today was another beautiful hot day, sure don't miss the Canadian winter!
Oh, we've been meaning to address the question about the food. What's the most interesting thing we've eaten? Probably the diri djon djon and akra. This is a rice dish that is made with a mushroom spice that can only be found here. It makes the rice dark purple. The first time I saw it, I told Garn it was mealworms, cuz that's kinda how it looks, and he believed me. It's still funny. Anyways, it is really tasty. The akra is tarot root mushed up with some spices and fried. It's a bit spicy (though they tone it down for us compared to how they make it for themselves!) and totally delicious. Other interesting things include fried plantains (also great!) and the spaghetti avek hot dog - surprisingly good! I think the only thing we don't particularly care for is the powdered milk that we have on our cereal in the morning. Part of the problem is that they make it with lukewarm water. Yucky. Garn thought they gave us baby formula the first day!
Daylight savings doesn't happen in Haiti, so I actually think we're only one hour off of you in Alberta, 2 in BC, but we'll have to change an hour in Florida on our way home. G'night!

God doesn't just have little angels down there. I see a couple of big ones in these pictures as well. Bless you.

Interesting foods!

Wouldn't want luke warm powdered milk either, but it's better than dirt! :)

Thanks for all your hard work in keeping us updated!

Luv, Brad and Zina!
