Weekend again

Here's a few pictures of us painting up at Ft Jacques yesterday, it actually was pretty fun! And yes, if you're wondering, I'm wearing one of Garn's shirts. I didn't bring anything I wanted paint all over! After painting, we stopped at the Baptist Mission for ice cream, what a treat! I tried pistacio ice cream, it was great! We had the evening off and watched Ratatouile, what a cute movie, though slightly disturbing when we clean up our balcony every morning due to the rats coming in at night! So, I haven't talked much about what we do with the kids. There's actually a huge emphasis on physical therapy as almost all the kids are developmentally delayed because of malnutrition. They catch up, though, which is amazing when I look at my little 8-month old, 13 pound baby who can't sit unattended or crawl yet. I can see how awesome it would be to be a long-term volunteer and watch them go from scrawny and behind to round and walking! Mentally they're fine, but it takes a bit of love and attention and encouragement for them to develop the muscles they need to reach the next level of mobility.

you look good in garn's clothes.

I can't believe at 8 mos some kids can't sit up/crawl...... my son was walking. There is something to be said for nutrition.

More pics..... I love them keep em coming.

Hey Garn and Mich;

Was in Walmart the other day, and a mom with three school aged children asked me what is the best nutritioned food for babies. I later learned that they were heading to a orphanage that had a two year old weighing 24 lbs! Wow do we have well fed babes here? Keep on giving for the Lord!

I'm in the middle of painting moms laundry room...and I'll be tackling the ceiling this week...I only have one room to do....I imagine you're a little sore from doing so many!

Love seeing all your pictures...and love it that you guys are blogging so much! Great to follow along.
Love you both!
