So yesterday was actually a bit of a challenge for a while. We have so many countries represented here, it's ridiculous. I mean really, we have a hard enough time speaking American sometimes. Good Grief! Who freezes water at 32 degrees and thinks that makes more sense than 0 degrees? Yikes!
Yesterday, most of the volunteers came up to Fort Jacque and painted again. I am now happy to report that as of noon today all interior painting of the warehouse/Brad and Lois' future house is done. In American that's "Git 'er done." So we returned back here just in time for supper, and there were two dutch families that some could only speak Dutch, a German, us Canadians, some Americans, the Haitian staff. Noticed a lack of the spanish speaking type however.
So supper was a bit of a gong show. The Canadians said Good Evening, which the Americans understood well , to the french you say bonne soir, to the Haitians you say bon swar, to the dutch we said gouda morega, ( no not really, but it was tough) and to the german guy we said Volkswagon!! At this the Americans were once again confused. So us Canadians had to say to the Americans "It's tam ta head ta the feedtrough y'all" Somehow everyone understood that it was suppertime.

This makes me laugh...I can almost hear an Abbott and Costello routine in there somewhere.
